From birth to about a year old a child is learning about trust and mistrust. The child is very dependent on their caregiver. -

From a year to three years a child is exploring and going through the "me do it" stage. The "me do it" stage is where a child is doing things on their own. During this stage of life, a child also begins to develop preferences. -

From 3 years to 6 years of age a child is learning about guilt versus initiative. -

During adolescence a child is learning about inferiority and industry. A child also begins to compare themselves to others. -

From 12 years to 18 years a person begins to learning about their identity versus role confusion. During emerging adulthood a person begins to ask themselves "Who am I?" and "What do I want to do?" -

18 years to 40 years
Through adulthood a person learns intimacy versus isolation. During adulthood a person needs to stay social or be on the "intimate" side in order to stay psychologically healthy. People who stick on the "isolation" side could experience depression. -

40 years to Mid-60s
Generativity versus stagnation is what a person must balance during their middle ages -
Period: to
Mid-60s to Death
In late adulthood a person learns integrity versus despair. At this stage in life a person needs to focus on the better things in life, until they pass on.
