    Was when 16 million shares were traded on the New York Stock Exchange in a one day. Billions of dollars were lost and it caused America to go into the Great Depression.

    The Great Depression was caused by the stock market crash of 1929 were 16 million shares were traded this caused the unemployment rate to increase to almost 30%. Although the Great Depression started in the US it spread to all over the world and caused the unemployment rate to increase all around the world.

    Herbert Hoover was defeated by Franklin D. Roosevelt, this was the first election during the Great Depression. The election showed the difference in political view that the country has.

    The Civilian Conservation Corps was a work relief program that went on between 1933 until 1942 in the us. It allowed people ages of 18-25 to join and participate in the CCC. They were provided food, shelter, and clothes and were paid $30 per month.

This caused the festival to open the gates for everyone and make it free of charge, over 500,000 people attended.
