Decembrists were people of the upper classes who had military backgrounds. The Northern Society had staged a convincing uprise. This told the troops in St.Petersburg to not take a loyalty oath to Nicholas I. -
Czar Nicholas II abdicates the Russian throne
People believed that Nicholas was not fitted for all of the difficult tasks that you needed to be a good czar. From his tutor, he had recieved a military education. He was married on November 26, 1894. -
Nicholas II becomes Russian Czar
Nicholas II did not feel he was ready to be a Czar and take on this huge responsibility. He was crowned czar after his father have passed. Him and his wife, Alexandra, were both crowed Czar and Czarina in May. -
The Russo-Japanese War
In the Russo-Japanese War, Japan forced Russia to abandon some policies. This war started because Russia and Japan had a rivalry for who gets dominance in Korea and Manchuria. -
Bloody Sunday
A group of people were going on strike in the city of St, Petersburg. The "Secret Police" was told to fire on all of the marchers and to have them be killed. More than 100 marchers were killed. After this event, multiple cities were going on strike. -
World War I (Russian Involvement)
The Russian government named Germany as their main threat. In 1907, Russia, Britian and France all joined together to create the Triple Entente. In 1914, Russia had the largest army in the world. -
March Revolution
The March Revolution took place in Petroguard, which is now St.Petersburg. Certain members of the Imperial parliament made an assumtion to control the country of Russia. This formen the Russian Provisional Government. -
Start of the Russian Civil War
The Russian War was a civil war with multiple parties right after all of the Russian Revolution had just ended. Th e two major armies was the Red Army and the White Army. -

The USSR is alos known as the Soviet Union and created by Lenin. -
Vladimir Lenin's Death
Vladimir Lenin was the creator of the Soviet Union and he caused the Bolshevik Revolution. In Lenin's honor, Petrograd was changed to Leningrad.
