    On Augast 3, 1942 Chris Columbus set on his voyage to America. He had a fleet of three ships called the Mayflower (the ship that he was on), the Nina, and the Pinta.
  • Industrial Revolution

    Industrial Revolution
    It was the transition from the old maufacturing process to the new factory process. It was from about 1760 to about 1830.
  • Revolutionary War

    Revolutionary War
    The conflict was between the colonial militairy and the British army. The colonial militairy was fighting for there freedom from Britain. The war lasted for 3 years and the colinail miitary won.

    This was when George Washington led a group of men to come up with a document to send to England do declare there freedom.
  • Louisiana Purchase

    It was a land deal between the U.S and France so U.S could get a major chunk of land for its citizent to habit. It cost $15 million which is equivalent now days to $233 million.
  • Civil War

    This was the war between the anti-slave states of the North and the slave states of the south. It was 4 years of a long hard fight but the northeners won and slavery was ebolished.
  • The Sioux Uprising of 1862

    This was when the Souix fought the MInnesota settlers because they weren't fair to the Indians. The 39 Indians were hung in Mankato on December 16, 1862 to make the largest hanging at one time in the world.
  • WW1

    WW1
    IT went from 1914 to 1918, it started because of the assasination of Franz Ferdinand who ruled Austria. Austria and all they're allies blamed it on Serbia and Serbia got all of it's allies. Tensions began to grow and it was the Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire) versus the Allied powers (Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy and Japan). U.S later joined from German Submatines blowing up the U.S.' neutral ships.

    It was where almost every company went bankrupt and the stock market crashed. It was from 1929-1939.
  • Dust Bowl

    Durin the 1930's the Great PLains states had a major drought and the winds picked up which blew the dust around causing people not being able to breath.
  • WW2

    WW2
    World war two went from September 1st, 1939 to September 2nd, 1945. The war started by Hitler invading Poland causing Great Britain and France to declare war on Germany. In the war, somwhere around 60 million people were killed. This was including soldiers, civilains and the 6 million Jewish people Hitler killed.
  • Cold War

    Cold War
    Through 1947-1991 the U.S. and Soviet Union tried to beat each other at everything. The first challenge was to build a Atomic Bob then the first person in space and so on.
  • The First Man on the Moon.

    The First Man on the Moon.
    On that day, Niel Armstrong was the first person to go on the moon followed by Buzz Aldrin.
  • 9/11

    On this day, the worst attack on U.S. soiol ever happened. That day 19 Alqueda terroists hijacked four planes. Two of them hit each of the world trade centers, one hit the pentagon, and one crashed in a field. Over 3,000 people died that day, more than 400 were police officers and firefighters.

    This war was North Vietnam versus South Vietnam and it's allie the U.S. The U.S. was in the war to help it's allie push North Vietnam back from invading too much land.
