    Pilgrims and Plymouth Rock 1500's
    The pilgrims went on the Mayflower to claim the Hudson River. The pilgrims made a landfall and decided to settle in Plymouth. The Plymoth rock was a ten-ton rock the the pilgrims said was a landing spot. Thomas Faunce was sad when he heard it was going to be coverd up.

    The Industrial Revolution was about Industrialization and the effect it had in the world. Britain was the people to start the Industrial Revolution. New appliances, tools and machines like the steam engine were changing the world.

    The war started when the American colonies and British had dissagrements about each other. Things like the Boston Massacre and the Tea Act also lead up to it. There were alto of attacks durring the war. American negotiators in Paris signed preliminary peace terms in Paris late November 1783

    The Americans and Birttish were fightin gover their rights. In 1776 five men including Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and Benjamin Franklin worte the Declaration of Independence on July 4. The Declaration of Independence ended the war with Great Brittian.

    The US bought 828,000,000 square miles of territory from France. They called this territory the Louisiana territory. 15 of the states were made because of this territory.The territory went from the Mississippi River in the east to the Rocky Mountains in the west and from the Gulf of Mexico in the south to the Canadian border in the north.

    The Civil war went from April 12, 1861 to April 9, 1865. The Civil War was about what kind of nation the US would be. It also was about slavery and if the US would still have it.

    After Franz Ferdinand was killed by Serbian nationalist, Austria-Hungary declared war and WWI sarted. More countries took side of one of the countires.

    On October 29, 1929 the stock market crashed. A lot of people lost all of their money and 13 to 15 million Americans were unemployed and a lot of the banks failed.

    The Dust Bowl was a drought that happened in th 1930's. It happen in most of the South East part of America. The crops stopped gorwing becuse there was no rain and it was very dry.

    Adolf Hitler was the leader of the nazi party in Russia. He put Jews into concentration camps weremany died. He was also trying ti take over more of Germany and then the world.

    The US and the Soviet Union worked togenth and this was callled the Axis but they still did not have a very good relationship. The Americans were scared because Russia wanted to take over the world.
