  • Meeting of the Estates General

    The meeting began at the beginning of the French Revolution. The purpose of this meeting was for the weakness power of the king, financial crisis, and widespread agitations. Impacts from this meeting was that they finally took the Tennis Court Oath, and created the constitution for France.
  • Storming of the Bastille

    The storming of the Bastille was to protect the walled city of Paris. They did this so that the English didn't attack. The effects were that they were strong and independent later on.
  • Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen

    The Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen is made out of 17 Articles. It is a fundamental document of human and civil rights. The impacts were that it had given us citizens our legal rights and government laws.
  • March on Versailles

    This was a march that women took for their rights. They marched because they weren't being equal with rights as the men did. The effects and impacts were that it brought an end to the monarchy of Versailles. Had transformed the role of and had a high demand for gender equality.
  • Gens De Colour demand equal rights from France

    It brought up the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen. Its purpose was to free men of color and have equal rights as whites. The impacts were that color men were getting equal rights as the whites and the blacks were getting free from slavery.
  • The French National Assembly granted free Blacks full French rights in Saint Domingue

    The blacks were being granted full French rights in Saint Domingue. The effects and impacts were Louis XVI and his family were arrested. Thousand white planters flee Saint Domingue to the U.S, while some took their slaves with.
  • Beheading of King Louis the XIV

    King Louis XVI got to be king by inheriting from his grandfather. He started to have financial crisis. Later he was executed, while Marie Antoinette was convicted of treason and later following her husband at the guillotine was executed.
  • Reign of Terror

    Thousand people were getting executed. The purpose was to fight enemies of the revolution. The effects were that at least 300,00 people were considered suspects, 17,000 were executed.
  • The Colony Saint-Domingue is abolished

    Saint Domingue was controlled by the French. Slavery was getting out of hand. The effects and impacts that it made was that it had brought independence to Haiti. After three centuries slavery was over. It had changed the way Britain viewed the west Indian Colonies, most plantation owners in the west were scared.
  • French Forces Admit defeat to the slave armies and evacuate their forces

    When they were admit their defeat they had lost 50,000 men. They lost battle of Vertieres. Saint Domingue is not being controlled.
  • Napoleon is Emperor

    He was already a dictator of France. Napoleon returned to Paris and was hailed as hero again. He saw the great time to attack the enemy. The effects were that he portrayed power, he had a concentrating power and have abolished feudalism.
