  • Tennis Court Oath

    Tennis Court Oath
    The third estate felt it unfair in their current government so they left to create a new constitution. The king felt it a threat and tried to stop them from meeting by locking their doors and posting guards. So they found an empty tennis court and took an oath stating they wouldn't leave until a new constitution was formed.
  • Storming of the Bastile

    Storming of the Bastile
    A mob started to riot and had learned that the Bastille was supposed to have gunpowder inside. They stormed the Bastille after the mob had stolen lots of rifles they went for the gunpowder and prisoners of war.
  • The Flight to Varennes

    The Flight to Varennes
    This event was known as the flight because the king and queen of France fled quickly one knight trying to escape so they could keep their lives. The revolution had turned radical and they had feared what comes next. Sadly for the royal family they were stopped and recognized by a local postmaster who then had them sent back to the middle of the country as prisoners of the revolution.
  • Reign of Terror

    Reign of Terror
    This was the time when the people in charge of the French Revolution were calling for blood and anyone who was against the French would be killed. Robespierre was the leader of this killing and terrifying time but eventually he had so many people killed he sort of went mad. He was the end of the Reign of Terror when he died, being the last head in the Guillotine.
  • Napoleonic France

    Napoleonic France
    Napoleon called France under his rule The First Empire. He was made their emperor and he was very skilled in getting France to the power in military they had been. After he had a few small military victories he started to rise higher and higher, at his peak he was in the middle of the Napoleonic Wars. He conquered many parts of different countries so he had eyes everywhere.
  • Robespierre kills Danton

    Robespierre and Danton were close friends both in competition for the leadership of the French Revolution. After thousands and thousands of people had died Danton thought his friend was going insane because he was accusing even the most innocent of people. When the council in charge of leading the revolution met they realized he Robespierre needed to be killed for setting people to death if they didn't agree with him on simple day to day decisions.
