  • The Tennis Court Oath

    The 3rd estate was locked out of an official meeting so they left to find a place to hold their meeting. They found a tennis court and held a meeting there vowing not to return until a new constitution is put in place. The king saw this and eventually made the other two estates agree to this.
  • Storming of the Bastille

    The Bastille was a old castle like building that was symbolic to the people during the revolution. It was raided and attacked by an angry mob because they believed it had supplies they wanted and needed. This attack symbolised the beginning of the fall of the monarchys power.
  • March on Versillies

    A mob of angry wemon March to Versillies. They were armed with spears and pitch forks because the demanded bread. People had been starving becaue of the lack of money.
  • New constitution

    The king finally makes a new constitution on September 30th 1791. This constitution creates constitutional monarchy which ends a popular group of political figures jobs. In their place people of either royalism or of radicalism became the new legislation.
  • War is declaired

    European monarchs had seen that the people has overthrown their king and were weary of what might happen if that ideal spread to them. The new legislative group I'm France declare war on Austria in 1792. Which didn't go so well for their armies at first but looked up for them eventually.
  • Kings and queens arrest

    The king was seen as a traitor to the people for trying to leave when France began to decline. Him and his wife, the queen, escaped the castle ad the angry mob of people stormed it. They were turned in by the legislature in fear of mass violence and arrested. They eventually tried to escape only to be caught towards the end of their journey.
  • The trials

    The king was put on trial January 21st 1793, and was found guilty for treason. He was executed via guillotine and oeraded through the streets afterwards. The queens trial was held shortly after that and she was found guilty for multiple crimes and was also executed.
  • The Reign of Terror

    The Reign of Terror
    The Reign of Terror took place during the a time where civil war was spreading life wildfire. People began to fear that they would be surrounded by it and it began a series of dis-trust between people. Many people where executed because of this causing mass terror throughout.
  • The Fall of Robespierre

    Robespierre is mostly associated with the great terror. He had a kind of paranoia that anyone could be against the resistance, si.if you were suspected to be against it you would be sentenced to death. He inevitably was sent to the guillotine himself after he was accused if treason .
  • Nepolian took control

    Nepolian was born in France and rose through the French military ranks quite quickly. He was eventually a French general who invaded France and ended up overthrowing the government in a way. He made himself the ruler in 1804.
