    The Tennis Court Oath
    The Tennis Court Oath was an oath taken by the third estate, stating that they would not leave until a new constitution was written. They wanted a new constitution because they had little to no rights and were locked out of the estates general. Eventually a new constitution was written and they got a little more power. They were also there long enough that some people from the first and second estate started agreeing with the third estate.
  • Storming of the Bastille

    Storming of the Bastille
    The Storming of the Bastille was a riot held by the third estate because they wanted food and gunpowder. They tried to let the guards to surrender but the guards wouldn't so they fought. The people of the third estate were successful and started destroying the Bastille. They also wanted to free the prisoners there and were successful at that too.

    This Declaration was adopted by the French government after the third estate took the tennis court oath. The declaration is very similar to are commandments. And it was just a set of written laws for the people of France.

    King Louis forced to move to Paris
    On the night of Oct. 15th by a mob of angry women. The women wanted to have the price of bread so they could eat. They were also so angry that they tried to kill Marie Antoinette but were unsuccessful.

    Execution of King Louis XVI
    After trying to flee the country with his wife they were caught and put in jail. The next day he was executed for treason and conspiracy. He was killed by the guillotine the day after he was arrested.

    He was assassinated by a woman by the name of Charlotte Corday. She stabbed him while he was taking a bath. She also though that killing him would make people happy but it outraged a lot of people.

    The Reign of Terror was when the committee of Public Safety killed a lot of people. Danton was the head of the committee until he decided that the killing should slow down. That thinking got him executed and Robespierre took control. Robespierre liked the killing and ruled until he was stopped.

    Overthrow of Robespierre
    Robespierre was overthrown by the National Assembly. He was also put in jail after that then the next day he was executed. One of the main reasons Robespierre was executed is that he was responsible for a lot of deaths.

    The directory took place of the committee of public safety. It also consisted of only five people and lasted until Napoleon took over. There was also only one person in charge and was there from the start to the end, and he was Paul Barras.

    Napoleon took control after he got back from wars in Egypt. He replaced the new Directory with a three person counsel. He also made a lot of changes that would help the people of France.
